Fatal Shooting in Surrey Triggers Major Police Investigation

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is currently looking into a tragic incident that occurred early this morning in Surrey. Police responded to a residence on 91st Avenue near 125th Street just before 5 a.m.

On the 24th day of 2026, authorities were at the scene of a shooting that took place in the 2500 block of 91 Ave. More details are expected as the investigation progresses.

Upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds, according to the Surrey Police Service (SPS). Efforts were made by SPS officers, Surrey Fire Services, and BCEHS to assist the victims. Regrettably, one man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment. IHIT, SPS, and BC Emergency Health Services have been contacted for further updates on the case.
