Peel Region and Pearson Airport Brace for Impending Mega Snowstorm This Sunday!

Peel Region and Pearson Airport are gearing up for heavy snowfall expected tomorrow, as Environment Canada issues weather warnings for the Greater Toronto Area and Toronto. The agency predicts snow amounts ranging from 20 to 40 cm in some regions, coupled with low visibility due to strong wind gusts reaching up to 50 km/h, posing hazardous travel conditions.

Peel Region assures that its winter road operations are fully equipped for the upcoming snowfall, with contracted snow removal services on standby to assist in clearing roads and managing post-storm cleanup activities.

Toronto Pearson International Airport is also actively monitoring the impending winter storm’s impact on its operations and has mobilized crews at its Airfield Maintenance Facility to handle snow removal across the airfield. Passengers are advised to check their flight status prior to traveling to the airport.

As temperatures plummet to a bone-chilling -24°C with windchill, preparations are underway to mitigate the effects of the freezing weather and snowfall expected to hit the region on Sunday.
