A shooting incident in Vaughan on Monday afternoon has left one individual in critical condition, according to York Regional Police.
The incident took place at a plaza located on Weston Road and Colossus Drive, close to the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 400. Authorities responded to reports of a shooting just after 1 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim in the parking lot who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.
The suspect vehicle, identified as a black SUV, is being sought by the police, although no additional information has been disclosed thus far.
