Two individuals have been accused of murder in relation to the tragic passing of a 79-year-old woman in Toronto.
Authorities responded to a medical emergency at an apartment building on St. Clair Avenue West near Rushton Road, just west of Bathurst Street, on December 9. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of the elderly woman, identified as Jolan Kun from Toronto. The exact cause of her death has not been disclosed.
Following the execution of two search warrants on January 24, two men, Ashton Drysdale and Kaream Hines, both aged 38 and residents of Toronto, were taken into custody in connection to the incident. They are facing charges of first-degree murder.
In addition to the murder charges, Drysdale is also accused of multiple firearm offenses, possession of proceeds of crime under $5000, and ten counts of possessing a Schedule I substance for trafficking purposes.
Both suspects were set to appear in court over the weekend.
