The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is currently conducting an investigation following reports of gunshots fired at a business in the early hours of Monday morning in the vibrant Newton neighborhood.
According to SPS officials, law enforcement responded to the incident at a business situated on 120 Street close to 81 Avenue just before 4 a.m. Fortunately, no individuals were present in the building during the occurrence, and there were no reported injuries.
Sgt. Tige Pollock of the SPS commented that the incident appears to be linked to extortion and indicated that this seems to be the first time the business has been targeted in this manner.
