Vancouver police investigate 13-year-old’s attempt to steal pricey jacket with fake gun
Authorities in Vancouver are looking into an incident involving a 13-year-old who allegedly tried to steal a $1,200 jacket using a replica firearm from a store in downtown Vancouver on Tuesday. According to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), the teenager was discovered with the fake weapon strapped to his leg and was apprehended by store security before the arrival of law enforcement. The incident unfolded at 6:15 p.m. in the vicinity of Granville Street and Dunsmuir Street. Following the intervention of officers, the suspect was taken into custody, and the replica firearm was confiscated. Subsequently, the teenager was released to a parent’s care.
