Doug Ford Warns: Parti Québécois Victory Could Spell Disaster for Canada

As the Parti Québécois gains momentum leading up to the election, Ontario Premier Doug Ford expressed concerns about the potential implications of a sovereigntist party taking power in Quebec City. Ford emphasized the importance of a united Canada during a news briefing in Ottawa, emphasizing that it would be detrimental for the country if separatists were elected. He stressed the significance of standing together and remaining united during this critical time in history.

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston echoed Ford’s sentiments, emphasizing his love for the country and opposition to any attempts to dismantle or break it apart. Ford highlighted the benefits of Quebecers remaining part of Canada, emphasizing that unity is essential for prosperity.

Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet countered concerns by stating that a sovereign Quebec would maintain strong economic ties with Canada, including with provinces like Ontario. While some premiers expressed openness to addressing grievances within the country, they also emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration.
