“Disastrous PQ Election: Doug Ford’s Actions Likened to ‘Bad Theatre’ by PSPP Critics”

Ontario Premier Criticized for Calling Potential PQ Election Win a Disaster

Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, leader of the Parti Québécois (PQ), has criticized Ontario Premier Doug Ford for his comments suggesting that a PQ election victory would be a disaster for Canada. The PQ leader made these remarks during a press briefing in Saint-Georges, Beauce.

Ford had expressed concerns about the impact of a sovereigntist party coming to power in Quebec, stating that it would be detrimental to the unity of Canada. His sentiments were echoed by Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston and New Brunswick Premier Susan Holt, who emphasized the importance of a united country.

In response to the criticism, St-Pierre Plamondon accused Ford and other premiers of interfering in Quebec’s political affairs and attempting to influence Quebecers’ voting decisions through fear-mongering tactics.

St-Pierre Plamondon assured that a sovereign Quebec would maintain strong ties with Canada and continue to engage in dialogue to foster cooperation between the two entities.

The PQ is currently gearing up for the upcoming parliamentary session opening on Feb. 3, with its six MNAs assembling in Saint-Georges for preparations.
