Melania Trump’s new documentary premieres today in theaters across Canada, including the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The trailer, with the intriguing line “Everyone wants to know, so here it is,” offers a glimpse into the 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2025 through the eyes of the First Lady.
Despite the buzz surrounding the film, early ticket sales in Toronto seem lackluster. As of 11:30 a.m., only a few seats have been claimed for the first four screenings at Scotiabank Theatre. Even the typically popular Friday night showing has just three reserved seats.
Melania, which premiered at the Trump Kennedy Center, promises viewers unprecedented access to Melania Trump’s world as she navigates the complexities of the White House transition and reenters public life alongside her family. The film includes exclusive footage of critical meetings and private conversations, offering a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s most powerful roles.
Although Cineplex has confirmed screenings at four GTA theaters, they have not disclosed specific ticket sales figures. Following its theatrical release, Melania will be available for streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
During the debut at the Trump Kennedy Center, the 55-year-old First Lady expressed her pride in the documentary, describing it as beautiful, emotional, fashionable, and cinematic.
