Canada Blocked Jeffrey Epstein’s Entry in 2018, Newly Revealed Documents Show

Newly released U.S. government documents have revealed that in 2018, Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was denied entry into Canada by the Canadian government due to his criminal history.

The documents, totaling 3.5 million pages, include emails from Epstein’s personal account to Canadian authorities, where he sought permission to visit Vancouver for a TED conference. Despite his efforts, the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles rejected his application, citing his criminal record.

Epstein was informed in a letter dated April 4, 2018, that he was deemed inadmissible to Canada due to his previous conviction for a crime considered serious under Canadian law. Exceptions are only made on humanitarian grounds, which did not apply in this case.

These revelations came to light as part of the documentation released by the U.S. Justice Department, following a law enacted by President Donald Trump to increase transparency in response to public demand for information on Epstein’s activities.
