Toronto authorities seek public assistance in locating a 65-year-old man who has disappeared from the West Queen West community.
Thomas Brailsford was last sighted at approximately 3 p.m. on January 30 in the vicinity of Queen Street West and Dovercourt Road, according to investigators.
Described as six-feet-four, 176 pounds, with a slim frame, long grey hair tied in a ponytail, and a lengthy grey beard, Brailsford was dressed in a black toque hat, white shirt, thick black winter coat, blue trousers, and grey shoes at the time of his disappearance.
In a past incident, Brailsford faced charges of first-degree murder related to the death of his 78-year-old mother, whose body was discovered in her Scarlett Road residence in 2010.
Following a determination of not being criminally responsible in 2011, Brailsford was institutionalized at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Since 2014, Brailsford has vanished on multiple occasions while under supervision.
