Mystery Deepens: Police Establish Command Center in Mont-Tremblant for Missing Liam Toman

Over the weekend, the Quebec provincial police, Sûreté du Québec (SQ), established a command center in Mont-Tremblant to gather fresh leads on the disappearance of an Ontario man that occurred nearly a year ago.

Liam Toman, a 22-year-old individual, was last sighted on February 2, 2025, at approximately 3 a.m. while heading back to his accommodation at a renowned Quebec skiing destination after a trip with friends.

Details provided by law enforcement described Toman as wearing a black Volcom coat, black snow pants, a green sweater, a plaid shirt, a white hat with dark stripes, and brown work boots with black toes.

The SQ’s mobile command post, positioned on Chemin Curé-Deslauriers opposite Tour des voyageurs II, will be operational from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., aiming to collect information and statements from witnesses to aid in the ongoing investigation.

Sergeant Marc Tessier of the SQ highlighted, “Mont-Tremblant is a significant tourist hub. There might be individuals who visited last year around the same time and are back this year.”

In addition to the command post, police personnel will be patrolling the village and ski resort, engaging with visitors to raise awareness and encourage cooperation with authorities.

Tessier emphasized the importance of sharing any relevant information, stating, “It is crucial that if people have details, they come forward. Repetition of information is better than missing a critical lead.”

Liam Toman’s family is present at the location to support law enforcement efforts.

The family recently augmented the reward for information leading to Toman’s whereabouts from $10,000 to $50,000, underscoring their persistent plea for assistance. The family intends to organize a search of the region in the upcoming spring once the snow has melted, following four searches conducted in November.

In a bid to keep the case in the public eye, Radio-Canada’s investigative program, Enquête, dedicated an episode to Liam Toman’s mysterious disappearance in November, reigniting media attention on the matter.
