A person was hospitalized with severe injuries on Monday following a collision with a vehicle in Coquitlam, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred on David Avenue close to Coast Meridian Road just before 8 a.m., prompting a response from the police.
Fortunately, the driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been brought in to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
In the aftermath of the crash, both the eastbound lanes of David Avenue and the southbound lanes of Coast Meridian were temporarily shut down. As of 11 a.m., there was no set time for the roads to reopen.
