“House Shaken as Car Smashes into Mission Residence, Investigation Underway”

A young driver, aged 22, is currently under investigation in Mission after his car crashed into a house near Dewdney Trunk Road and Ferndale Avenue.

According to Mission RCMP, the incident took place around 3 a.m on Thursday when they received a distress call from a residence on the north side of Ferndale Avenue.

The driver, who held a Novice license, displayed signs of impairment possibly caused by alcohol consumption.

The driver, operating a red two-door Honda Civic, failed to halt at the intersection and collided into the homeowner’s bedroom.

Thankfully, the homeowner sustained minor injuries and was not in critical condition.

Following the crash, the driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries. Hospital staff conducted a blood alcohol test at the request of an RCMP officer.

The investigation regarding the incident involving impaired driving is currently in progress.
