A youth director from a Brampton church has fled to Brazil amidst allegations of multiple sexual assaults. Peel police disclosed that the alleged assaults took place at a Brampton place of worship on February 3rd.
The suspect, Christopher Brito De Araujo, a 24-year-old from Mississauga, is being sought for five counts of sexual assault, four counts of sexual exploitation, as well as charges of sexual interference, voyeurism, and distributing intimate images without consent. Brito De Araujo was heavily involved in leading various youth programs at the church, and authorities suspect that there could be additional victims.
