“Truck Crash Cleared, But Port Mann Bridge Traffic Jams Persist!”

Following a collision involving a dump truck, the eastbound Surrey Exit lanes on the Port Mann Bridge were temporarily blocked on Wednesday afternoon. Although the crash has been cleared, commuters should anticipate heavy congestion in the area.

Reports of the incident first came in around 3:20 p.m., causing authorities to block the right lane on Highway 1 towards Coquitlam. As a result, traffic congestion persists on Highway 1, leading to delays stretching as far as the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.

Due to a week-long closure until Feb. 13, drivers are unable to utilize the stal̕əw̓asəm or Pattullo bridges. As alternate routes, drivers can consider the busy Queensborough Bridge, along with connections to the Alex Fraser Bridge. Other detour options include the Pitt River Bridge and Golden Ears Bridge for access to Surrey.
