A manhunt is underway for a suspect involved in an unexpected attack on Valentine’s Day in downtown Toronto.
According to investigators, the incident occurred as the victim was strolling along Spadina Avenue near Nassau Street around 4 p.m. on February 14. The assailant approached the victim and sprayed what is believed to be pepper spray into their face without provocation.
Following the attack, the man quickly fled south on Spadina Avenue.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, standing six feet tall with a medium build, light complexion, and a full beard. He was last seen sporting a baseball hat, a white hoodie, a dark winter jacket, and carrying a red reusable shopping bag.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to reach out to the police.
