“Unveiling the Shadows: The Hunt for Justice in the Chilling Saga of Billy Neil’s Cold Case”

Initially assumed to be a lone car accident, a tragic turn of events revealed a more sinister truth – the death of William Neil was a homicide.

On a fateful day in 1992, William Neil, a 56-year-old auto shop owner from Westbrook, Ontario, left his shop after receiving a mysterious phone call. Later, his lifeless body was discovered in his vehicle, a victim of a fatal shooting near Kingston.

Three decades have passed, yet the perpetrator remains at large.

Seeking closure, William’s sister-in-law, Nancy Neil, emphasizes the importance of justice for the fallen.

“We all deserve answers. His siblings wished for closure before their passing, but it eluded them,” shared Neil.

Despite the passage of time, Detective Staff Sergeant Erin Thomas from the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch remains committed to solving the case. Through rigorous review and reinvestigation, every piece of evidence and potential suspect has been scrutinized multiple times, instilling hope that the mystery will be unraveled.

This unsolved case will be featured in the upcoming season of the gripping podcast “Tracking a Killer: The Cold Case Files.”
