A tragic collision occurred on Marine Way in Burnaby, leading to a fatality and several injuries. The incident, involving two vehicles that collided head-on, took place near Roseberry Avenue late Monday night. The driver of the westbound vehicle succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash, while others involved were hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Cpl. Mike Kalanj of the Burnaby RCMP, speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the collision. As a result of the investigation, Marine Way has been closed off between Nelson and Greenall, with the closure expected to remain until the authorities complete their inquiries.
