Vaughan Realtor Faces Charges in Sexual Assault Case, Authorities Confirm

York Regional Police have apprehended a man from Vaughan in connection with a sexual assault case and are urging any other potential victims to step forward.

The incident is said to have originated on Feb. 9, when a woman reached out to a real estate agent via a social media marketplace regarding a rental property.

Reportedly, the agent suggested meeting at the listed property the next day, but when the woman couldn’t make it, they agreed to convene at her residence to discuss the rental further.

Authorities claim that during the meeting at the woman’s home, the man allegedly committed a sexual assault and an indecent act before promptly departing. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any physical harm.

Subsequent to the inquiry, law enforcement apprehended and pressed charges against Farzad Farhoodinejad, a 44-year-old resident of Vaughan, on Feb. 16. He has been accused of sexual assault and an indecent act.

A picture of the suspect has been circulated by York Regional Police, who suspect that there might be more victims who have yet to come forward.
