Authorities in Markham are currently probing a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Thursday, resulting in severe injuries to a woman.
At approximately 3:41 p.m., emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Denison Street and Featherstone Avenue following reports of the incident.
According to investigators, a female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while crossing Denison Street. The driver of the dark-blue sedan with silver window trim involved in the collision fled the scene.
The victim’s identity and age have not been disclosed, but she was swiftly transported to a trauma center due to the critical nature of her injuries.
