The Langley RCMP says it has stopped a driver travelling westbound on Fraser Highway at 140 km/h in a 70 km/h zone Monday morning.
Officers caught the driver of a black Honda Civic at 6:50 a.m. near the intersection of 228 Street in Langley Township.
Police say it has impounded the vehicle for seven days while the driver is facing a $483 fine for excessive speeding.
“Speed like this puts everyone at risk, slow down, plan ahead and drive safe,” the RCMP said in a social media post.
The image provided by police shows that the car has an ‘N’ learner licence sticker attached to it.
