Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim will hold a press conference at City Hall on Tuesday “to address his previous comments regarding Councillor Sean Orr.”
The mayor is referring to false accusations he had made to Chinese-language reporters last month, suggesting Orr had engaged in handing out illegal drugs on Christmas.
At another press conference on Friday, Sim told reporters that he had spoken with Orr and apologized for his comments.
Orr has said publicly that he’s not ready to accept Sim’s apology.
In a written statement, Sim said that he will be available for potential questions from the media.
The press conference will start at 2 p.m.
