A 23-year-old man was the target of an attempted murder in Montreal on Wednesday evening, in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.
The man turned himself in at a hospital in the Montreal area while he was injured in the “upper body”, possibly because he had been hit by a gunshot.
According to doctors, there is no danger to the victim’s life.
When informed of the situation at around 9:45 p.m., the Montreal Police (SPVM) began searching for the location where the attempted murder had taken place.
Investigators determined that the event took place in a parking lot located near the intersection of Grenet and Louisbourg streets, in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.
“A car with bullet impacts was still at the scene and shell casings were found on the ground,” said Officer Manuel Couture, spokesperson for the SPVM, Thursday morning.
Investigators and forensic identification technicians went to the scene during the night to analyze the crime scene.
Early Thursday, the SPVM reported no arrests in this case.
