Police in Surrey are investigating a shooting in the city’s Cloverdale area in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) responded to reports from 65 Avenue near 144 Street around 4:30 a.m.
Officers reportedly found a damaged home and multiple ammunition shell casings at the scene.
Police say no one was reported injured.
“While the motive for the shooting is still under investigation, it doesn’t appear this incident is related to the ongoing series of extortions in Surrey,” the SPS said on Mounties’ behalf.
Witnesses or anyone with CCTV video or information to share is asked to call the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502.
