The Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt remained closed Thursday morning after multiple incidents Wednesday night.
The Transportation Ministry reported closing the northbound lanes around 8:30 p.m. By 9 p.m., it said southbound lanes had closed as well.
It says “non-compliant commercial vehicles at mandatory chain-up location” caused the northbound closure.
Meanwhile, the southbound closure is attributed to a vehicle incident.
DriveBC estimates that traffic will reopen to southbound traffic at 10:30 a.m. and to northbound traffic at 11 a.m.
Drivers can take Highway 1 or Highway 3 as detours.
