Two people were injured following a collision involving a school van Thursday morning in Montreal’s St-Leonard borough.
No children were on board at the time of the crash.
According to Montreal police (SPVM), a 911 call was received around 6:30 a.m. reporting a collision at the intersection of Lacordaire Blvd. and des Grandes-Prairies Blvd.
Police say a vehicle travelling southbound on Lacordaire Blvd. collided with the school van before crashing into a bus shelter. The van then struck a wall.
The 23-year-old driver was transported to hospital in critical condition and was later listed as stable. The school van driver was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Lacordaire Blvd. northbound remains closed to traffic.
The investigation is ongoing.
