Police in Abbotsford are warning the public about the release of a convicted sex offender.
As of March 30, the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says 46-year-old Stephen Bradley Ewing will be living in the city under strict conditions.
Sgt. Paul Walker says Ewing has a lengthy history of convictions for sexual assault and sexual assault causing bodily harm.
In 2021, Ewing pleaded guilty to seven charges related to offences in Parksville, Lantzville, and Nanaimo, dating back to 2018.
Most of his victims were sex workers, including one who was only 15-years-old.

The AbbyPD says he has been ordered not be near children under 16, unless accompanied by a responsible adult; he must not consume drugs or alcohol; and he must not be near sex trade workers — among many other conditions.
The department has shared an up-to-date image of Ewing ahead of his release.
If you observe Ewing breaching the conditions of his release, you’re asked to contact your local police.
