Walmart closes two stores in Montreal

Walmart announced that two stores, located in Pointe-aux-Trembles and Côte-des-Neiges, will be closing in the coming weeks.

Employees from both locations will be reassigned to other stores.

The Côte-des-Neiges and Pointe-aux-Trembles branches will close on June 19 and 26.

These closures will affect approximately 130 workers in Côte-des-Neiges and more than 107 in Pointe-aux-Trembles.

Walmart has been in Quebec since 1994 and operates 70 stores across the province.
