More than half of the equipment used by the City of Montreal to repair potholes is at the end of its useful life.
According to data optained by The Journal de Montreal, seven out of 13 hot mix trailers, were not fonctional to fix Montreal potholes this March.
They were rated D or E, meaning their condition requires monitoring or is critical because they have reached the end of their useful life.

The city’s four asphalt pavers are in better condition. They are rated C, meaning they show moderate wear and tear.
The City of Montreal says it respects regulation in regards to inspection of equipment and vehicles.
