Woman hospitalized after assault in Surrey’s Holland Park

Police are seeking witnesses to an assault at a Surrey park in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it responded to reports of a “disturbance”  at Holland Park near the City Centre area around 2:20 a.m.

That’s where officers found an injured woman, the victim of an alleged assault.

In a statement to 1130 NewsRadio, Sgt. Tige Pollock described the assault as “physical” but not a stabbing.

Paramedics took the victim to hospital with serious injuries.

Pollock says investigators are still working to determine a motive, and no suspects have been identified.

He could not confirm if the woman is still in hospital.

The SPS is asking anyone with information about the incident to call the non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2026-32173 (SP).
