Homicide investigators are at work in Surrey after a man died of injuries he sustained in an undisclosed incident Wednesday night.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it was called to help BC Emergency Health Services on 134 Street near 97 Avenue around 9:10 p.m.
Police have not shared many details, but say paramedics were treating a man suffering from injuries.
“The man was subsequently transported to an area hospital by BCEHS. Despite life saving efforts, the man was subsequently pronounced deceased,” said an SPS statement Thursday.
Since then, the Lower Mainland’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over investigating.
Police say the incident appears to be isolated.
Anyone with information to share is asked to call investigators at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448).
