Serious collision in Langley leaves one dead

On Thursday afternoon, Langley RCMP responded to a car crash at 33rd Avenue and 264th Street.

British Columbia Ambulance Service and first responders from the Township of Langley Fire Department also attended.

“Tragically, despite life saving efforts, one individual succumbed to their injures at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) have been deployed to assist with the investigation.”

One person was also transported by air ambulance to Royal Columbian Hospital.

Roads are closed in the area and are expected to remain closed for several hours while investigators work.

Mounties ask that people avoid the area.
