Transport Quebec announced that Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, and Highway 132 will be closed later this week for major repair work.
Highway 132 will be completely closed eastbound between Roland-Therrien Boulevard and Highway 20 (Jean-Lesage) from 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 to 5 a.m. on Friday, April 17.
Entrances to this section will be closed 30 minutes before the road is fully closed. The detour will be via Marie-Victorin Boulevard.
Highway 25 toward South Shore
Friday night to Saturday, from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Complete closure of Highway 25 toward the South Shore, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, between Exit 5 – R-138/ Hochelaga Street/ Sherbrooke Street and the entrance from Île Charron.
Souligny Avenue eastbound, between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets, will be closed 30 minutes before the highway’s complete closure Friday night. It will reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Highway 25 toward Montreal
Friday night to Saturday, from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Complete closure of Highway 25 toward Montreal, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, between Exit 90 – Highway 20 West, Route 132, La Prairie/ USA, Varennes, P.E. Trudeau Airport and the entrance from Sherbrooke East Street.
Souligny Avenue westbound, between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets, will be closed 30 minutes before the highway’s complete closure Friday night. It will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Highway 520
Highway 520 will be closed in the eastbound direction near Highway 13 starting Friday night.
Closure of the Highway 520 East between Exit 4 (A-13 / Laval / Lachine / Montée de Liesse) and the on-ramp from the Highway 13 North from 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17 to 5 a.m. on Monday, April 20. Traffic will be diverted via the service road (Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse).
The dedicated lane on the on-ramp from Rue des Futailles to Highway 25 southbound will be closed from 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 to 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 19.
The on-ramp from Sherbrooke Street East to Boucherville Street North will be closed from 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 to 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 19.
There will be a partial closure of the Highway 520 West near Highway 13 from 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 18 to 9:30 p.m. on April 24. Only one lane will be open at this time and congestion is expeced. Those heading to Montréal-Trudeau International Airport should plan their route accordingly.
The closures will be dependant on the weather and could be delayed. Drivers are urged to check Quebec 511 before hitting the road.
