The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s help in finding an 18-year-old woman who was allegedly abducted by her biological parents Thursday afternoon in Sainte-Thérèse, in the Laurentians.
Cassandra Levasseur was last seen around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, on Lecompte Street, in Sainte-Thérèse.
According SQ, her biological parents allegedly “forcibly seized her and forced her into a vehicle.” The provincial police force states that it has reason to fear for the young woman’s health and safety, as she “may be vulnerable.”
The vehicle in question is a dark blue 2018 Nissan Rogue with a panoramic sunroof and chrome door handles. It is registered in Quebec with the license plate Z71 YZZ.
Levasseur is 1.65 m (5 ft 5 in) tall, weighs 57 kg (125 lb), has long, dark brown hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a blue-green short-sleeved shirt.
Her biological mother is Brigitte Lussier, aged 61, who is 1.62 m tall and weighs 59 kg. She has white skin and grey hair. She was wearing a black and red cap, dark sunglasses, a navy blue coat, black pants and dark boots.
The biological father is Luc Levasseur, aged 63. He is 1.70 m tall, has white skin, grey hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Levasseur, her parents or the vehicle of interest is asked to call 911.
