Laval Rocket Game 5 moved to Saturday, setting up packed weekend of hockey in Montreal region

The Laval Rocket will now play a winner-take-all Game 5 on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Place Bell, after the schedule was adjusted from its original Friday slot.

The Rocket forced the deciding game earlier this week with a 4–0 road win over the Toronto Marlies in Game 4 of their North Division Semifinal series.

The rescheduled game sets up a rare stretch of consecutive playoff action across the Greater Montreal area, with both AHL and NHL games taking place on three straight days.

On Friday night, the Montreal Canadiens continue their second-round series against the Buffalo Sabres in Game 2, before attention shifts back to Laval on Saturday afternoon for the Rocket series decider.

The weekend concludes with the Canadiens returning to Montreal, where the series against Buffalo moves to the Bell Centre for Game 3 on Sunday.

With both teams still in the playoffs, the scheduling creates an unusual run of back-to-back-to-back meaningful games for local fans, spanning two leagues and multiple cities within the same region.
