The union representing Montreal’s blue-collar workers elected a new president at a general meeting held on Wednesday.
The former president, Jean-Pierre Lauzon, lost the election. He was replaced by Nicolas De Ciccio, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), which is affiliated with the FTQ, confirmed on Thursday.
