One of Vancouver’s first streets, Trounce Alley, has now had its makeover completed.
Its renewal was the final step in the revitalization of Blood Alley Square in Gastown.
The upgrades to Trounce Alley began in November 2025, focusing on rehabilitating the alley surface to align with and complement the design of the adjacent Blood Alley Square.
The area is now complete and has delivered on the City of Vancouver’s intended vision.
The square now includes a performance stage to support local arts and culture programming, fixed seating for gathering, and globe lighting throughout new trees.
