Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) are appealing to the public for any information regarding a sexual assault case last December.
In January, the AbbyPD Sex Crimes Unit (SCU) took over the investigation, which involved a female victim.
On May 12, detectives from the AbbyPD SCU started investigating a second sexual assault from a second female victim. The suspect in this case is believed to be the same male identified in the December 2025 case.
53-year-old Angelo Roefaro of Abbotsford was formally charged with two counts of sexual assault, as well as assault, administering a stupefying substance, and theft under $5,000 in relation to these two incidents.
Roefaro is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing. His next court appearance is June 1.
AbbyPD has released a picture of Roefaro as they are hoping to find more information about the alleged assaults.
AbbyPD is looking for any witnesses, victims, or individuals with information about Roefaro’s activities.
