Dozens of vehicles damaged in suspected arson in Dorval

Montreal police are investigating after dozens of vehicles were damaged in a suspected arson attack at a used-car business overnight.

Emergency crews were called to a property near Avenue Charter and 55th Avenue at approximately 12:30 a.m.

According to the Montreal Fire Department, one or more suspects allegedly smashed a door before setting a fire inside the building.

Police say incendiary items were discovered at the scene, prompting investigators to treat the case as suspicious.

Several vehicles parked on the property were damaged by the blaze.

The area has been secured as a crime scene, and investigators are expected to continue examining the site throughout the day.

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
