Service slowdown on REM’s Deux-Montagnes line, STM’s blue line normal after outage

A couple of public transit disruptions were affecting the morning commute in the Greater Montreal area Thursday morning.

Service on STM metro’s blue line resumed after facing a more than an hour-long outage between the Snowdon and Parc stations due to a problem with equipment on the tracks.

STM was running a special bus service between the Snowdon and Parc metro stations while the service was down.

Service interruption extended line 5 – BLUE between Snowdon and Parc. Equipment on tracks problem. Service expected to resume at 8:00 AM. V

REM riders are on the Deux-Montagnes and Brossard line is seeing a slow down in all directions.

The light-rail service says the frequency between Brossard and Bois-Franc is reduced to every 6 minutes. Meanwhile, between Deux-Montagnes and Bois-Franc is at every 13 minutes.
