The Thérèse-De Blainville Intermunicipal Police Board stated in a press release that the chase began in Boisbriand and ended in Mirabel, when the vehicle being pursued struck an electrical pole.

The police agency stated that the occupants were transported to the hospital with injuries deemed serious. The BEI stated in its own press release that there were two injured individuals, one of whom was in critical condition.

The BEI indicated that the Sûreté du Québec was participating in the investigation.

This is the second investigation conducted by the agency in two days.

The agency is also investigating the deaths of two people early Wednesday morning after their vehicle ended up in the Delisle River, southwest of Montreal, following a police intervention.
