The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it has arrested and charged a man after two alleged bank robberies earlier this week.
Police say they received a report of a robbery at a bank near 104 Avenue and King George Boulevard just before 11 a.m. on June 6.
Two days later, also around 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of another bank robbery, this time near 128 Street and 96 Avenue.
In both cases, a man allegedly threatened staff, saying he had a weapon, and was able to depart with money, the SPS said in a release.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
A suspect was identified and arrested on June 9, police say. A day later, a 22-year-old man was charged with two counts of robbery.
He remains in custody until his next court appearance on June 15.
