FBI investigating shooting just south of Canada-U.S. border in Blaine, Wash.

Police in Blaine, Wash., say the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating after a shooting just south of the U.S. border between the Peace Arch and Pac Highway border crossings.

The Blaine Police Department says the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) was involved in the shooting, which took place at the corner of 4th Street and A Street.

“There is no threat to the public,” police said on social media.

“We ask for your assistance and patience in the area while the FBI investigates the incident and the crime scene.”
