On Wednesday afternoon, Port Moody Police (PMP) responded to a high-risk incident in the lower Clarke Road area.
A neighbouring school, Port Moody Secondary, was put in a ‘hold and secure’ procedure as a precaution.
The police issue was not related to the school.
Police were focused on one residence in the area.
Officers took one man into custody with assistance from the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Service.
There were no injuries to anyone.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
