The City of Port Coquitlam says crews were sent to the scene of a structure fire on McChessney Street Thursday morning.
In a post to social media around 8:30 a.m., the city said the blaze is located near McPherson Drive, which is just east of Shaughnessy and south of Pitt River Road.
A caller to 1130 NewsRadio says he saw smoke billowing from the area.
The city asks people to avoid the area.
