Major traffic disruptions expected in Greater Montreal this weekend

Quebec’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility advises road users that major obstructions are expected over the weekend.

From Friday at 11:59 p.m. to Monday at 5:00 a.m.

Detour: via the Jacques-Cartier or Samuel-De Champlain bridges.

From Saturday at 3 a.m. to Monday at 5:00 a.m.

From Friday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

Detours:

o Access from Notre-Dame Street West and the Cathedral: via Peel Street and Saint-Antoine Street East. For trucks: via Peel Street and Saint-Antoine Street West, Montagne Sud, Notre-Dame Street East, Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, and Saint-Antoine Street East.

o Access from Notre-Dame Street East and Robert-Bourassa Boulevard: via Saint-Antoine Street East.

Water main inspection and maintenance work, under the responsibility of the City of Montreal.

• In Montreal (Le Sud-Ouest borough), the intersection of Saint-Patrick and Bridge Streets will be completely closed from 6 a.m. on Saturday to 8 p.m. on Sunday for work by Hydro-Québec

From Friday at 10:00 p.m. to Monday at 5:00 a.m.

• In Mont-Royal, Cavendish Boulevard will be completely closed to northbound traffic at the intersection with Dalton Road (southbound) for work by Hydro-Québec work on the municipal utility network.

Detours:

o From Dalton Road heading north: via Côte-de-Liesse East Road, Authier Street, and the A-40 West service road,

o From the A-520 East, via Exit 5 (Hickmore Street), Merizzi, McArthur, and Griffith Streets.

o Toward A-520 East: via Dalton Road northbound and Côte-de-Liesse East Road.

From Friday at 8:00 p.m. to Sunday at 6:00 p.m.

• In Laval, on R-148 (Avenue des Bois) heading west, the left-turn lane will be closed at the intersection with Montée Champagne.

Detour: Continue on R-148 west, Principale Street, De l’Hôtel-de-Ville Avenue, Saint-Martin Boulevard, and Montée Champagne.

• In Laval, on R-148 (Avenue des Bois) heading east, the right-turn lane will be closed at the intersection with Montée Champagne.

Detour: Take the ramp to A-13 south, continue on the service road, take the ramp to Saint-Martin Boulevard heading west, and then Montée Champagne.

Note: Montée Champagne will be completely closed in both directions at the R-148 / Des Bois Avenue intersection during the same hours. Follow the detour described above.

Traffic Detour on the A-13 South in Laval, Starting June 19

• Starting June 19, reconstruction work on a section of Highway 13 southbound between Dagenais Boulevard West and the A-440 (Jean-Noël-Lavoie) in Laval will result in traffic detours and dynamic lane management for several weeks, continuing through the fall. See the press release.

Extended full closures of a section of R-340 (Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes) and an A-30 West ramp in Vaudreuil-Dorion

• A construction phase change will result in the complete closure, from June 19 through the end of August, of a section of Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes (R-340) and an on-ramp to the A-30 West (de l’Acier), at the intersection with the R-340 in Vaudreuil-Dorion. This closure is necessary to construct a roundabout at the intersection of R 340 and Boulevard de la Gare.

From Friday at 8:00 p.m. to Sunday at 6:00 p.m.

• In Saint-Eustache, on 25th Avenue, at the A-640 overpass, the road will be completely closed in both directions.

Detours:

o Heading SOUTH: Take the A-640 West ramp and make a U-turn at Exit 11 (R-148, Arthur-Sauvé Blvd.).

o Heading NORTH: via the on-ramps for A-640 East and A-13 South, make a U-turn at Exit 20, via R-344 (Ch. de la Grande-Côte), take the on-ramp for A-640 West, and take Exit 14 to 25th Avenue.

From Saturday at 6 a.m. to Sunday at 11 p.m.

• In Saint-Eustache, on the A-640 in both directions, partial closure of one of every two lanes at the 25th Avenue overpass

Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• In Beauharnois, on A-30 East (de l’Acier), between R-236 (Boulevard de l’Énergie) and Chemin Saint-Louis, partial closure of one of every two lanes at the Saint-Louis River bridge.
