Mark Carney continues to be highly popular in the province a year after his election with 60 per cent Quebecers saying they have a favourable opinion of the prime minister, in a Léger-Le Journal-TVA poll.
Quebec Premier Christine Fréchette came in second with 50 per cent of Quebecers saying they have a good opinion of her and 29 per cent saying they view the premier unfavourably.

Federal minister Mélanie Joly (46 per cent), Parti Québécois leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon (44 per cent) and Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada (43 per cent) round out the top five.
Quebec Liberal leader Charles Milliard came in at 12 with only a third of the respondents sharing a favourable opinion. Notably, 42 per cent of the respondents said they were not familiar with him just months before the provincial elections.
Overall, three municipal leaders, including Longueuil Mayor Catherine Fournier (eighth) and Quebec City mayor Bruno Marchand (ninth) were in the top 10 well-liked politicians.
Federal conservative leader Pierre Poilievre was the most unpopular among Quebecers with a 38-percentage-point gap between those who had a favourable opinion versus unfavourable opinion of him.
He was followed by Quebec Conservative Party leader Éric Duhaime with 31 points, Quebec Minister Bernard Draineville with 14 points and Maïté Blanchette Vézina with 13 points.
The online survey was conducted among 1,022 voters between June 5 and 8.
