Showers and thunderstorms expected before sunny weekend arrives in Montreal

Residents can expect a mix of sunshine, showers and the risk of thunderstorms over the next two days before warmer, sunnier weather returns for the weekend.

Thursday will begin mainly sunny, with increasing cloud cover this afternoon and a 40 per cent chance of showers. There is also a risk of thunderstorms later in the day. Temperatures are expected to reach 27 C, with a humidex value of 29.

Showers are forecast to continue into Thursday night, along with the risk of an evening thunderstorm.

Friday is expected to remain mainly cloudy, with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a risk of afternoon thunderstorms. The daytime high will be 21 C.

Conditions are expected to improve by Saturday, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 25 C.

The remainder of the weekend looks pleasant, with sunny skies forecast for Sunday and a high of 27 C.

Warm temperatures are expected to continue into Monday, when sunny conditions and a high of 29 C are forecast.
