The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 29-year-old man wanted for allegedly breaching his release conditions.
Police say Scott McInnes, of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, is being sought after reportedly removing his electronic monitoring bracelet.
Investigators believe McInnes may be travelling in a black 2017 Volkswagen Golf bearing veteran licence plate 077 PCB. He was last seen around 4:30 a.m. in the area of Zouave Street in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
Although McInnes is wanted for breaching his conditions, police say his loved ones have reason to fear for his safety.
McInnes is described as standing 1.72 metres (5-foot-8) tall, with brown hair, brown eyes and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with a white “The North Face” logo, grey pants and a dark-coloured cap.
Anyone who sees McInnes is asked not to approach him and to call 911. Information that could assist investigators can also be provided confidentially to the Sûreté du Québec’s Criminal Information Centre at 1-800-659-4264.
